Household Maintainer Rates

This map shows the household maintainer rates of the selected age group in each region. The estimate makes most sense at higher level geographies, but finer geographic breakdowns also give insight into where and how household formation happens. Random rounding means that the estimates are only approximate, and more importantly we only have the age groups of the total population available to use as denominators, instead of the age groups of only the population in private households. This leads to a slight systematic under-estimate of household maintainer rates.
