Household size distribution
This map colours each region by their mix of one, two, or three or more person households. In most cities like Vancouver, Toronto, Calgary we notice that smaller households are concentrated in the central areas, surrounded by larger households. Montréal differs a bit form that in that there are much more one-person households distributed over a larger area of the city. We can see how the distribution of households in a region shows a strong relationship with household income when plotting income against the share of one-person households.
