This map shows the main mode of tenure in each region. For this map we split tenure into five sub-categories: Owner household with a mortgage or other regular loan payments Owner household without a mortgage Renter household in market rentals Renter household in subsidized housing Household in a dwelling provided by the local government, First Nation or Indian band This is motivated by a similar map by Alasdair Rae for England.
