Adjusted Population Counts
This map shows where adjusted 2011 population counts differ from our computed population counts for our 2011/2016 custom tiling. We shade all regions where adjusted population counts differ from our counts to warn users of potential small deviations. The exact difference is displayed in the histogram widget on hover. When creating our custom tiling we tried to balance geographic granularity with absolute accuracy. Accuracy can be improved by combining regions to ensure that adjusted counts and computed population counts match, at the expense of granularity. We tried to strike a balance that tolerates a few very small inconsistencies that we believe will not distort results in ways that general sampling and response issues not already do.
