Young Families

This map shows the share of families with children at home that are "young", meaning that the older parent is below 40 years old. Lighter areas indicate a low proportion of young families, darker areas indicate higher proportions. A proportion of 20% means that 1 in 5 families with children at home in the area have both parents below the age of 40 and 4 in 5 families with children at home have at least one parent over the age of 40.
