Income Brackets
This map shows the proportion of households with total income below $45k, $45k to $100k and above $100k in each region. We grey out areas where we detect data quality issues. Compare this to a similar map with slightly lower cutoffs based on 2011 data. Pan, zoom and use the search bar to explore what regions in Canada interest you. The metropolitan areas like Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver all exhibit interesting geographic patterns of income segregation, but also areas of well-mixed incomes. Especially segregated areas can be picked out by plotting the percentages of high and low income households in each area.
